The Best Burritos. Ever.

If you want to enjoy the best burritos ever than I would have to say that you need to make your own tortilla bread.  I had not ever done this until recently, and let me tell you the store bought breads do not even come close to being good after tasting home made ones.

Here's the recipe I used:-

Ingredients
4 Cups Flour (all purpose flour)
1 Tablespoon sea salt flakes ( or regular table salt)
50g Cold butter
2 1/2 Cups hot water (very hot but not boiling)

  1. Add flour, salt and rub in butter with fingertips until the mix resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  2. Add the hot water and mix using a knife until the mixture comes together.
  3. Knead dough until smooth, roll into small balls the size of a ping pong ball.
All rolled and ready to fry

4.  Roll out the balls of dough until very thin and round, they don't have to be perfect go for the rustic look.

My little helper
Fry in a non stick fry pan for 1-2 minutes on each side.

Serve with your favourite burrito filling, Enjoy!

Testing the final product
These were much easier than I anticipated and I don't think I have ever enjoyed burritos so much!
