Some Quiet Time

We have had a lovely, busy weekend visiting family and attending birthday parties. My husband is working tonight, the kids are in bed early and I am enjoying some rare quiet time with my knitting.

It's a gorgeous sunny day here and we are off to my Mother-in-law's for breakfast.

For You, Mum

Last month my mum passed away, too young at the age of 57. I miss her dearly and words cannot express how I feel. This mothers day is tinged with sadness as I remember my mum and how much she mean't to me.

She loved her friends and family dearly and always went the extra mile for us. Even though she worked long days in the family business, she would drop whatever she was doing if any of us needed her.

She loved roses, especially yellow, pinks and whites and was know to regularly stop at the local rose farm on her way home from visiting her dad to fill the house with fresh roses.

There are tears running down my cheeks as I write this, I still cannot believe she is gone. I miss my Mum.
